Sektori is basically a full-on adrenaline blast in the form of a twin-stick shooter. Everything hits hard — the techno music, the visuals, the enemies — and once you drop in, you kinda have to lock in completely. You’re picking upgrades, building crazy combos, and surviving waves of enemies and massive bosses on a battlefield that literally keeps changing under your feet. It is one of those game's that pulls you into a zone where you forget everything else for a bit. The gameplay itself is super clean and straight to the point. Runs are quick, but always challenging, and there is a ton of replayability. The campaign takes you through five different worlds with shifting levels, tons of enemy types, and bosses that evolve mid-fight like they’re leveling up just to ruin your day.
You can try out different ships and customize your upgrade decks so that every run feels like your own thing. Plus, there are three difficulty modes for whatever level of pain you’re into — including “Revolution,” which is basically the game’s way of asking if you’re okay. On top of that, there are six extra game modes like Classic, Gates, and Assault each giving you a different flavor of chaos.
