Every race on the calendar now has its own priority level, making it easier to plan around the events that matter most and send your strongest riders where they can make the biggest impact. At the start of a new season, the game creates a complete schedule for your team, but you're free to tweak and adjust everything to fit your own strategy. The AI teams also use the same advanced planning system, making career mode feel much more competitive and realistic. Of course, things don't always go according to plan. Injuries, crashes, illness, and poor performances can force you to rethink your tactics and completely change a rider's goals halfway through the season. The rider form system has also been upgraded to feel much closer to real-life cycling. New attributes like Tour Focus and Classics Focus determine how riders perform throughout different types of races. Grand Tour specialists will usually stay more consistent during long stage races, while Classics experts are more reliable in one-day events. Race simulation has received a major upgrade with the introduction of Detailed Simulation. Instead of simply generating quick results, the game now runs the full 3D race engine in the background without showing the visuals, delivering much more realistic outcomes while still finishing in seconds. If you prefer the old style, the previous simulation option is still available under the new name Instant Result, giving you the choice between speed and realism whenever you want. The Pro Cyclist mode also offers more freedom than before. You can either create a custom rider that looks like you or jump straight into the career of an existing professional cyclist. Choosing a real-world rider lets you start at a higher level while still giving you the flexibility to customize their skills and shape them around your preferred playstyle.
The contract and transfer system has been reworked as well, making it easier to attract interest from top teams and progress toward the biggest races in the cycling world. Retired riders now have a future beyond racing too, with the ability to continue their careers as coaches or scouts. Career mode includes several other improvements, such as evolving team identities, the ability to change a team's nationality during the off-season, optional national team participation, and updated race invitation rules that automatically grant three second-division teams access to major events.
