Alright, so in Third Eye Open, you play as Ting, a young girl who can actually see spirits. Yep, you’re not just any kid – you’ve got this crazy ability that most people don’t even know exists. You end up becoming tight with a young ghost named Xiu, who's trying to find peace. But things get intense as you navigate challenges from both the real world and the spirit world. Your mind and morality? Yeah, they’re on the line too. You’ll quickly find out if this power of yours is a gift or a curse. The story covers five important years of Ting’s childhood and during that time you will feel how being able to see spirits really sets her apart from other kids. The big question is can you come to terms with this power? You may also be interested in the game Golf With Your Friends - Olympus Odyssey Course
Can you help your family, friends and all those lost souls who need you? The spirits are divided – some want your help, others… not so much. They will guide you, trick you, and make things super complicated as they chase their own goals. To crack the mystery behind Ting’s emotional travel you will need to navigate some tricky conversations, save lost souls, solve mind-bending puzzles and dodge dangerous spirits. Oh, and on top of all that, Ting’s family is on the edge of falling apart, and she might be the only one who can hold them together.
The game’s art is wild – it’s all done in this super unique “paper theatre” style, inspired by the Joss-Papercraft of Southeast Asia. Everything from the places you visit to the characters you meet is dripping with Malaysian culture and folklore. You’ll be hitting up Morning Markets, making friends with monks, chowing down on Lok Lok at the Night Market, and trying to avoid spirits lurking in the woods. Third Eye Open is the latest chapter in the Paper Ghost Stories series, which kicked off with the award-winning short game 7PM. These games are all about creepy stories inspired by Malaysian and Chinese myths, so buckle up for some seriously spooky vibes!
