Alright, so DATE A LIVE is this super popular light novel series from Fujimi Fantasia Bunko, and it’s been such a hit that it even got turned into a TV anime. The fifth season, DATE A LIVE V, just aired in April 2024. Shido decides he’s all in, doing whatever it takes to save the world and protect these Spirits. He faces off against them with total sincerity dealing with all sorts of crazy challenges along the way. Like, there's this one Spirit named Natsumi, and Shido has to defend her from this shady organization called Deus Ex Machina Industry, eventually managing to seal her powers. Later, when Origami flips everything upside down with a massive transformation, Shido somehow reshapes reality itself to protect the world and seals Origami too.
