33 Days till Extraction is a top-down sci-fi action RPG shooter with roguelike elements. The game takes place on a distant planet that has been completely destroyed by orbital bombardment. You play as a Space Desant death-chaplain who has been left stranded on this dangerous planet. You’re being hunted by elite special forces and bounty hunters, and the worst part is that you only have 33 days until extraction. The daytime is basically a death sentence. Enemy patrols constantly search the surface, so you have to hide inside basements, ruins, and other abandoned areas until night. Once it gets dark, you can finally come outside and start exploring. You’ll raid locations, collect supplies, fight enemies, and even raise dead soldiers to help you. Necromancy might not have been part of your original job, but when you're stuck on a planet like this, you use whatever advantage you can get. Every time you go out, the game creates different areas filled with random enemies, events, loot, and other surprises. Because of this, you can't just follow the same strategy every time. You have to learn how the planet works, change your build when needed, and slowly get better with every run. The further you make it, the more you'll understand how to survive. Death also doesn't always mean the end. Using forbidden rituals and whatever you can find on the battlefield, you can bring fallen fighters back to life. This lets you recover from mistakes and experiment with different strategies instead of having to start completely from scratch every time something goes wrong. There are tons of different weapons and abilities to use. You can fight with plasma weapons, lasers, ballistic guns, and experimental technology, or use strange powers like necromancy, vampirism, and energy manipulation. You can even combine technology with supernatural abilities, creating builds that feel like a mix between science and magic. By combining different weapons, perks, gear, and powers, you can create some pretty crazy and powerful setups. Between your missions, you return to your base, which acts as your main safe zone. You can build and upgrade different facilities, recruit new fighters with their own unique traits, and prepare different loadouts depending on how you want to play. You can also unlock permanent upgrades and new options that help you progress further over time. Basically, your base is where you prepare yourself for the next dangerous night.
The planet itself is filled with the remains of a civilization that has already been destroyed. You'll explore abandoned facilities, military bases, ruined cities, and other dangerous locations. Since these areas are procedurally generated, each run can feel different, giving you plenty of reasons to keep coming back and trying again. The developers also make it clear that the game does not use AI-generated content. The models, textures, images, code, sound effects, and written content were all created by human artists, developers, writers, and other members of the developmen
